Getting started with Our Stairwell

Our Stairwell gives your association one place to manage building records, repairs, people, meetings, documents and property charges. Start by joining your existing association or, if you are authorised to set up a new one, creating its workspace.

If your association already uses Our Stairwell

Use the invitation sent by an existing committee member. Open the newest invitation and sign in with the same email address that was invited. Do not start a second association or create another identity to work around an access problem.

After joining:

  1. Open Profile and check your name and contact details.
  2. Check that your unit and association are correct.
  3. Review Dashboard for anything that needs your attention.
  4. Open Notifications to see recent changes and follow them back to the relevant record.
  5. Ask an administrator if your role or access is wrong.

If you are creating a new association

New-association setup should be completed by an elected committee member, normally the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer. Use the guided setup to record the association, building, units, your role, starting permissions and subscription. Residents joining an existing workspace should be invited instead.

Why screens differ between users

Our Stairwell uses role and individual permissions. A resident may see their own unit ledger but not the association bank records. A person managing works may update repairs but not issue service-charge demands. This is intentional: shared access should not expose every sensitive record to everyone.

If a tab is missing or locked, it normally means your current role does not include that action. Ask the person who manages permissions for your association rather than sharing another user's account.
